LIFE STEPS: Tips for Teens
STRESS
We all feel stress some of the time. Teens feel stress much of the time. What signs say you are under stress? Do you: Feel tired? Have headaches or backaches? Eat too much or too little? Have trouble sleeping? Get ill often? Feel moody? Have trouble thinking clearly? What can you do about it?

Perhaps the most important thing is to talk with someone you trust. Together you can:
1. Try to figure out what's causing your stress.
2. Brainstorm solutions.
3. Consider the consequences of those solutions.
4. Try out the decision. If it doesn't work, try another.
Don't be alone.

ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS

Q: What is a crush?
A: A CRUSH is a happy, excited feeling that you get when you see and/or think about someone you're attracted to.
Q: What is the difference between dating and going out?
A: DATING means going out with someone to different places, getting to know that person, and checking to see if a deeper relationship is possible. GOING OUT means referring to the person you're dating as your exclusive girlfriend or boyfriend. For example: "John and I are 'going out'."
