What does it take to run a large art institution like the Metropolitan Museum of Art? How many people work at this museum, and what are their job functions? Partnership with Children students from Ozone Park's PS 124 discovered the answers to these questions on a recent visit with the Education Department at the Met . The museum's educators spoke with the group about the roles required to keep the museum running, including their own education department, and those of the curators,  fundraisers, and even security.

The children were suprised to learn that 2,000 people are employed at the Met! The students later wrote an article for their school newspaper about their visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and shared with the rest of their school community all that they learned about the many career opportunities to be had within museums.
