SECOND ANNUAL WRAP DAY A SUCCESS!

Volunteer Wrapper Sara For the second consecutive year, Partnership with Children has distributed donated holiday gifts, including stuffed animals, dolls, toys, sports equipment and more to children in need. The gifts, which have been arriving at our office since Thanksgiving, were donated through NBC's Today Show Toy Drive, thanks to Partnership with Children and NBC's ongoing relationship.

On Tuesday, December 21, volunteers from the non-profit 100 Women in Hedge Funds gave generously of their time, and many members spent all day -- and into the evening -- wrapping hundreds of gifts, selected for each child and personalized. Gifts were then distributed to the individual children we serve, their siblings and other children who may otherwise have gone without holiday gifts. On Wednesday morning, Partnership with Children social workers picked up the bundles of gifts and brought them to their respective schools where they work with students in our Open Heart-Open Mind program. During the day parents retrieved the gifts, bringing them home to delight their children on the big day.

Gift wrapping day also brought a visitor from The New York Sun newspaper. Subscribers to The Sun can see the December 22 article and photos here.

The second annual marathon gift wrapping day was a great success and we look forward to hosting it again in 2005. Partnership with Children extends a heartfelt thanks to NBC's Today Show Toy Drive, which continues to make our gift drive possible, and to the dedicated volunteers from 100 Women in Hedge Funds who participated this year. We hope to keep our volunteers coming back and to find new ones to continue to make sure each child we help has a happy holiday.
