FIRST FUNDay PARTNERS ACTIVITY IS A HUGE SUCCESS!

November 11, 2004 marked the first of monthly "FUNDay Partners" outings with volunteers from the not-for-profit organization 100 Women in Hedge Funds and students from schools served by Partnership with Children. For the inaugural activity, fifteen volunteers met fifteen fourth and fifth graders at the Museum of Natural History. After playing some ice breaker games, volunteers and students paired off to get to know their new buddies. At the Hayden Planetarium they saw the IMAX movie "Passport to the Universe" and then toured the museum together.
Both volunteers and students had a great time getting to know each other and exploring a part of the city. After the success of the first outing, volunteers are ready to make it a monthly experience! Each of the schools that we serve will have an opportunity to send kids from the Partnership with Children small group counseling groups to spend a day making new friends.
