PARTNERSHIP WITH CHILDREN HOSTS SECOND AUTUMN WINE TASTING BENEFIT  
For the second year in a row, wine aficionado’s and enthusiasts joined Partnership with Children for our annual Autumn Wine Tasting Benefit. This year’s event was held at Astra, inside the D & D building, and guests enjoyed a sampling of wines from California, Italy and Spain, as well as premium single malts and microbrewery beers. Thirteen vintners provided a variety of wines, offering tips on food and wine pairing. Guests took views of midtown from Astra’s terrace as they sampled their wine choices for the evening, complemented by a delicious Tuscan buffet. Guests had the opportunity to place orders for their favorite vintages, with a percentage of the proceeds donated to Partnership with Children. A highlight of the evening was an exciting Wine and Design themed silent auction and raffle, featuring gift certificates to some of New York City’s finest restaurants, fine wines and home furnishings. Popular silent auction items included a case of Italian wines, a tasting dinner and wine pairings for two at MIX in New York and a Style Network Gift Basket. The silent auction and raffle raised over $5,000 for Partnership with Children’s Open Heart-Open Mind and Life Steps program; in total, the event raised over $44,000.
