Founded in 1992, Open Heart-Open Mind (OHOM) is the only program to place social workers in schools full-time to help at-risk students. OHOM has delivered measurable results, including consistently raising student test scores on State standardized exams.
The Center for Capacity Building (CCB), established in 2005, offers professional development and training, as well as an Open Heart - Open Mind replication model for urban school success. We work directly with school staff to facilitate capacity building and provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to help inner city youth increase their potential for academic success.
