SY 2008: 92.% increase in ELA Level 3+4 scores and 22% greater decrease in ELA Level 1(lowest) scores for students receving our core services. 14.4% increase in Math Levels 3+4 scores for students receiving 2+ years of our services. 9.8% decrease in students receiving Math level 1.
SY 2007: 5.3% increase in ELA level 3+4 (highest) scores and 6% decrease in ELA level 1 (lowest) scores over comparison schools. 6.6% increase in Math level 3+4 scores over comparison schools. Students receiving our core services had an 11% decrease in Math level 1 scores over the previous year.
SY 2006: Our students had a 117% increase in ELA level 3+ 4 scores and a 44% decrease over school peers. 128% decrease in ELA level 1 scores over comparison schools and 23% decrease over citywide schools.
SY 2005: 90% improvement in Math and 60% improvement in ELA level 3+4 scores than citywide schools. In comparison to citywide schools, our schools showed a 58% reduction of level 1’s in Math and a 28% reduction in level 1 ELA scores
SY 2004: Students’ grade level performance improved 167% in reading in contrast to comparison schools. The increase in students performing at the lowest levels was 0.18% at our schools and 1.18% in comparison schools, showing the negative increase was 85% lower at our schools.
Rising Attendance Levels
SY 2008: 1.4% in attendance over previous year
SY 2007: 1% increase in attendance over the previous year.
SY 2006: 125% greater increase in attendance from SY ’05 over citywide schools.
SY 2005: Attendance rate increased 1.2% to an overall average of 91.0%.
SY 2004: 2.5% better attendance rate than comparison schools
Improving Social Behavior
SY 2008: 106% increasein positive teacher to student verabl interaction, and 112% increase in positive student peer o peer verbal interaction
SY 2007: 400% increase in positive student peer to peer verbal interaction and 270% increase in positive teacher to students verbal interaction.
SY 2006: 51% increase in positive teacher to student interaction and 45% increase in positive student peer to peer interaction.
SY 2005: Peer to Peer positive verbal interaction increased 88%, while peer to peer negative verbal interaction decreased 71%; Students were on-task 50% more at the end of the year; Teachers negative comments toward students declined by 75%
SY 2003 – SY 2005: 68% of teachers, 83% of parents and 90% of students observed improved student self-esteem. The same period revealed, on average 62% of teachers, 76% of parents and 89% of students observed improved student behavior.
